We take sustainability very seriously and are striving to do as much as we can to reduce waste. We also contribute monthly to ecologi.com who fund climate projects around the world.

We are changing all our plastic packaging for our Love Nature products to Bio degradable bags. We use recycled bubble wrap packaging. All our paper is recycled. We run a plug in hybrid and lift share.

Sustainability is a high priority across all aspects of the business, from products and packaging through to energy and recycling waste.

Our postage packing is now 100% recyclable, using cardboard and paper tape. We have cut out bubble wrap and plastics and reduced the overall amount of packing used. We endeavour to make sure that all raw materials, such as gemstones are ethically and sustainably sourced. Since 2020 all of our individual polythene bags used for every piece of silver jewellery have been biodegradable and recyclable.

2022/23 will see the introduction of a new range of eco jewellery gift boxes which will be 100% recyclable, FSC certified and plastic free

Sea Gems has always held a full health and safety policy which is constantly updated by an outside agency and pays all staff above the living wage. Our suppliers pay a fair wage and adhere to strict laws to protect workers’ rights

Sustainability is a key part of our business and becoming increasingly important as we look to reduce our environmental impact

2023 sees the introduction of entirely compostable and degradable packaging for all of our products. We believe this will make a huge difference to our customers - protecting our products with zero end of life problems with the packaging. We are also partnering with Getgreenspark to support various environmental initiatives including tree planting and plastic recycling - and will be updating our online checkout so that customers too can choose to support these projects.

We are working on sustainable fabrics at the moment as well as improvements to packaging and logistics. We have recently completed a course on sustainable fashion at the London College of Fashion so that we can learn and implement new pledges. Look out for recycled fabrics being used in all products in AW23!
