Associate Professor, Durham University
Dr Helen Goworek is Associate Professor in Marketing at Durham University. She previously worked at the University of Leicester as MSc Marketing Programme Leader. Helen is a fashion marketing graduate with several years’ experience in buying and design management for retailers and manufacturers in the UK, working with overseas suppliers. Her PhD at the University of Leicester focused on product development and sustainability. She has written three books on fashion and retailing, as well as over 30 articles and conference papers. She has been a co-investigator in two sustainable fashion research projects funded by Defra and is currently developing a European research project on sustainable fashion. Helen is Chair of the British Academy of Management (BAM) Sustainable and Responsible Business group and also organises conferences and workshops on design and sustainability.
