The UK's National Footwear Show at Moda steps up for the new decade

The UK’s National Footwear Show, at the industry-leading fashion trade show Moda, has announced a compelling line-up of footwear brands and new initiatives as it steps up for the new season and commits to delivering the best buying platform and experience for UK and international footwear buyers. Leading distributors including GRS Footwear and UK Distributors will showcase a host of brands, alongside popular brands including Alpe, Marco Tozzi, HB Shoes, ARA, Rohde, Salamander, Tamaris, Caprice, Moda in Pelle, Fly London, Peter Kaiser, S.Oliver, Jana, EMU Australia, Keddo, Young Soles, Laura Vita, as well as LJ&R Footwear who are all confirmed for the February 2020 show.

Taking place on the 23rd – 25th February in Hall 6 at the NEC Birmingham, the revamped and refreshed footwear hall will present the industry with the ultimate environment for buying, networking, trends, and inspiration. Lisa Govier, Footwear Director of the National Footwear Show at Moda says: “Listening to the needs of the industry is at the heart of what we do, so we have taken a number of big steps to improve the footwear offer at Moda. As the UK’s national footwear show and with a new team on board, February 2020 will showcase new halls, a new layout, a refreshed, cleaner shell scheme and a host of leading footwear brands and distributors. We moved our show dates to avoid clashing with MICAM which has been really well-received, and as sponsors we’re also delighted to coincide with the Footwear Awards making Moda the number one destination for the footwear industry. Now is the time to pull together, support the industry and create the best possible environment for buyers and brands alike.”

She adds: “Following from the successful launch of our speed-networking and buyer acquisition programmes which continue next season, we will be taking this to the next level by introducing Moda MATCH.  Our dedicated buyer acquisition team will help facilitate introductions between brands and retailers to ensure we deliver superb ROI for our exhibitors – and introduce buyers to exciting new brands that may not be on their radar.”

Martin Rye, Managing Director at GRS Footwear says; “Moda remains the most important trade show in the calendar for Lunar Shoes and the one national show that unites the brands with good quality retailers. For Lunar, Moda signals the start of the selling season and is the only show where we take orders for the whole three-day duration, from both new and existing customers. The central location of the NEC is key for our Scottish and Irish retailers who are able to fly into the show and see all of their key suppliers under one roof. We are excited about the new plans for Moda and look forward to seeing Moda go from strength to strength in the coming years.”

A selection of other footwear names, including kid’s collections, to look out for include; Froddo, Lazy Dogz, Lexus, Regard Le Ciel, Vionic, Cherry Blossom, Lunar, Vibram, Manas, Nero Giardini, The Art Company, Mustang, Salamander, Superfit, Waldlaufer, Lamo Footwear, IGI, Krisbut, Pikolinos, Blowfish, Unisa, Shepherds of Sweden, Analpa, Woly, Hogl, and kids footwear from Primigi.

Martin Arnold, Portfolio Director at Hyve Group, owners of Moda says: “As well as increased investment directed towards the targeted VIP buyer’s programme and the overall look and feel of the show, February will also boast a bigger catwalk and hugely inspirational content featuring big name speakers and industry experts adding value and interest for our visitors.”

The AW20 edition of Moda takes place on the 23rd – 25th February 2020 in Halls 6, 7, and 8 at the NEC Birmingham.
