Arran Bay

Arran Bay Hall: Halls 2, 3+3a Stand: 2J53

Lisa started Arran Bay jewellery over 10 years ago whilst working as a knitwear designer for the Scottish cashmere companies & selling her designs to high end design houses such as Donna Karan & Ghost. She studied textile design at Galashiels Herriot Watt University and then went on to gain a Masters in Fashion design from Central Saint Martins college of Art & Design in London.

When Lisa spotted a gap in the market for creating a jewellery label that could provide the more mature consumer designer pieces at high street prices Arran Bay was established from her attic. Lisa now works from large contemporary garden studio by the sea in Prestwick on the west coast of Scotland. The beautiful view in this bay looks over towards the island of Arran, hence the name Arran Bay and the landscape provides endless inspiration for colour and texture for the label, this is Lisa’s passion, forever the textile designer and this has enabled her to transfer her creativity to jewellery. Lisa loves working with the different textures and colours the beads and semi-precious stones can possess and mixing these together in an unusual and unexpected manner.

Lisa is a mother to two children and has grown her business alongside being a mum and now works in the studio with two other makers. Since her children started school Lisa has been able to concentrate on growing the business in to a well loved brand stocked in many gift shops throughout Scotland and England.
