A homage to Margaret Macdonald.

Vanessa Priest TA Quaystones Hall: Halls 2, 3+3a Stand: 2H53
A homage to Margaret Macdonald.
Macdonald chain

QuayStones jewellery is normally know for being inspired by the sea but their designer Vanessa Priest has been playing with this rose design on and off for 18 years. She finally thinks she's got it right.

The rose chain started life as a test piece developed by Vanessa when she worked as a teacher. From that starting point a whole new collection has evolved inspired by the work of Margaret Macdonald, whose rose designs became synonymous with the art nouveau movement.

Each "rose" element in the new collection is handmade so every piece will be unique. As well as the rose chain necklace there are several styles of earrings, a bracelet and simple pendant that can be worn on  a plain silver chain to round off the collection. This collection will also be available to order at Spring Fair in 18ct gold plated silver.

QuayStones jewellery is manufactured in Berwick-Upon-Tweed from reclaimed metals. All their jewellery has a full hallmark from the Edinburgh Assay Office and is displayed in luxury eco-friendly packaging.
