Adorned has confirmed further signings ahead of its fifth edition this weekend. The area – which is situated within Moda Accessories – is dedicated to showcasing original and innovative product within the jewellery and handbag sectors, and has strengthened its carefully edited line-up ahead of its latest show.
“Moda Accessories is already destination event for both dedicated accessories buyers and those in the womenswear trade,” says event manager Lennox Addo. “The introduction of Adorned however made it even easier for buyers to be inspired by contemporary and often niche labels, and we have seen the area become more of a destination show within its own right over the past few seasons.”
Joining the line-up this season, Butterfly Jewellery (pictured) is characterised by exquisite craftsmanship that is designed to turn heads. The London-based label will arrive at Adorned with a range of statement cuffs, necklaces, rings and bracelets, all designed to complement the key seasonal colours of s/s 16.
Also making its debut this season, Isabella Queen is another homegrown British label offering a range of handcrafted accessories. Specialising in Italian leather, the brand blends the quality of European raw materials with exceptional British craftsmanship to create a truly unique selection bags. Elegant structures with a stylish flair are the hallmarks of the label, which is rapidly becoming a global luxury label since its inception in 2014.
Spanish leather is also well-represented within the Adorned area, thanks to the arrival of Pilgrim Apparel. The Suffolk-based agency will bring a carefully curated selection of styles from its portfolio of labels, which includes Madrid leather specialist Bah Ban, newly-launched directional footwear brand Magro Cardona and leather handbag label Sacs Barcelona.
“The profile of visitors to Moda matches well with ours, and buyers will have the opportunity to see never-seen-before collections arriving into the UK for the very first time,” says Silvia Ferrer, director at Pilgrim Apparel. “We are specifically targeting department stores and boutiques seeking new accessories and footwear collections with a real point of difference; fine Spanish quality from the home of premium leather, on-trend designs and a certain level of exclusivity that simply can’t be found elsewhere.”
Adorned will also play host to the UK launch of Harlem Carter, the stand alone label created by industry stalwart Josephine Smith. Having worked extensively with luxury accessories labels including Beverly Hills brand Timmy Woods, Smith was committed to launching her own creation at Moda Accessories when she established Harlem Carter last year.
“I feel like I am coming home to show my own brand,” says Smith, who created Harlem Carter as a luxury accessories label with a rebel chic edge. “The buyers who attended Moda Accessories when I last exhibited with Timmy Woods were incredible, and now I just as confident that my own label will be just as well accepted.”
