Denim label DML will return to Moda Gent with an innovative collection of sustainable denim. The directional label – which has established a global presence from its proudly northern headquarters in Manchester – will reveal the benefits of its unique Hydroless technology at the February edition of the show.
Put simply, the Hydroless collection of denim is manufactured at a unique plant in Dubai with cutting edge consideration for the environment. Replacing conventional methods of laundering denim with a low-impact, eco-friendly technique, Hydroless denim achieves its wash through the use of laser finishing, desert blasting and “ozone washing” the denim using air instead of water. The result is a process which significantly reduces energy and chemical use, and uses 95 per cent less water than traditional denim production.
The Hydroless line was first unveiled for the s/s 17 but, following a positive response and intrigue amongst trade buyers, the brand will build upon the introduction for a/w 17.
