Summer spotlight on Olymp

Renowned menswear label Olymp will reveal a new collection this season characterised by modern life. Scheduled for launch at Moda Gent this August, the s/s 18 offer creates new summer melanges in chalky pastels, business-ready denim, smart casual Hawaii prints and new dimensions of floral designs.

“The attitude for Olymp this summer is inspired by both innovation and happy moments,” says creative director Georg H. Füth. “Ideas for modern life have contributed to new visions across the collection, but the materials are more complex than ever – think modern workmanship alongside artisan inspired patterns.”

Recently named as Germany’s number one shirt label by German trade title TextilWirtschaft, Olymp is well-versed in creating designs that modern men want to wear. This season sees the label maintain and surpass its commitment to pioneering textiles while incorporating a lighter, more summer-inspired approach to design.

The key collections within the s/s 18 offer are Gelato, the Blue Room, Innovation Lab and Secret Garden. Gelato is the at the lightest end of the colour spectrum, offering chalky soft pastels, washed looks in different graduations and white combinations that hint at light and luminosity.

For the Blue Room, the focus is denim and, more specifically, the concept of denim that is suitable for business. Teamed with classic blue shades and light camel, the result is a smart casual take on the most classic material of all time.

Innovation Lab looks to the future with its ultra-modern colourways of dull aqua and luminous yellow, while Secret Garden brings florals for men into the new season with vibrant elements of hibiscus and mandarin and elements of camouflage.

Alongside its core range of shirts, Olymp offers a selection of complementary knitwear, polos and jerseys. See the full range at Moda Gent this season.
