Caprice has shown its commitment to innovation with the unveiling of its new factory powered entirely by the sun. The factory – which is located in Pakistan – is the largest solar facility in the country, and will produce over 1.2 million pairs of Caprice shoes within its 12000 sq m premises.
The unveiling of the facility was shown via video link within Caprice’s headquarters in Pirmasens, Germany. “This facility is going to be part of a sustainable and innovative work environment,” says Caprice’s managing director Jürgen Cölsch. “In addition to our striving for efficiency and effectiveness and our search for better footwear solutions, we must also take the environment and the people into consideration.”
Caprice is a regular exhibitor at Moda Footwear, and has already committed to the February edition of the show. Renowned for its “Walking on Air” concept, supreme comfort and on-trend designs, the brand is a favourite amongst independent retailers, and will unveil its autumn offer of shoes and boots at Moda Footwear on 18-20 February.
