Leading menswear label Skopes has revealed its most popular styles as sold at Moda Gent - and the bestsellers are some of its more distinctive designs.
The decadent Garrix Dinner Jacket (pictured) in an opulent navy Jacquard proved to be a popular choice for forward order buyers, while country influences were also in demand for the new a/w 18 season. Buyers opted for the Inveraray Jacket in olive green and the Curragh quilted coat, suggesting that Skopes has an increased appeal this season beyond its core tailoring.
The brand’s core business was also in demand, in particular with regards to formalwear for weddings. The newly-introduced stock service allowed buyers to top up for spring alongside their forward order, and it was the sharper three-piece suits that were most popular according to head of wholesale Leo Lachs.
“The mix n’ match Milan suit in a Royal blue slim fit and the Harcourt Tweed were popular within the new stock service,” says head of wholesale Leo Lachs. “Both styles are great for upcoming weddings, which remains a core element of Skopes’ business.”
Skopes is a market leader in formalwear, maintaining its position as House of Fraser’s bestselling tailoring label and renowned nationwide for quality, fit and service. The brand will however continue to diversify its appeal beyond suits as part of a wider expansion plan to offer menswear underpinned by a more lifestyle-focused ethos.
