Moda Footwear exhibitor the Healthy Back Bag Company has reported an overwhelmingly positive reaction to its decision to bring back leather styles this season. The brand – which discontinued its leather line due to production issues – responded to stockist demand to bring back a premium leather line this autumn, with initial deliveries arriving in stores this week.
“This is a much-loved and asked for bag,” says Clare Elson, marketing manager for the label. “Retailers have reported many requests from customers for the return of leather styles, and the reaction to the collection at last month’s Moda was incredibly positive. Having experienced issues with leather quality last year, we were unable to manufacture these styles but this has been resolved, and we are thrilled to reveal these styles in high grade, drum-dyed buttery soft leather.”
Currently available in black for autumn, the leather styles will be available in a wider range of colours for s/s 16 and beyond.
The Healthy Back Bag Company was established in the US in 1995, arriving into the UK nine years later. Created by a doctor, chiropractor and a leather craftsman, the brand is designed around a philosophy of promoting back health in combination with function and style, and has always had fine leather materials at the heart of its identity.
