Q&A: JORDAN LONG

Having exhibited since the very first show, Pia Rossini is a stalwart of Moda Accessories, and will return this season with a rebranded summer offer which includes its first-ever jewellery line. Sales & marketing co-ordinator Jordan Long reveals more.

What’s Pia Rossini all about?
Pia Rossini is a leading fashion accessories brand based in the UK, focused on making the art of accessorising easy. The brand was created to bring an affordable, quality range of coordinating fashion accessories to the UK market. We are passionate about colour, simplicity and style, and we are confident that there is a fashion accessory for every woman and every occasion from each of our collections. It is a mission of ours to enable every women to express her individuality and personality through her fashion accessories.

How has the label evolved since its inception in 1999?
This spring will see the roll out of our global rebranding initiative. This will be the company’s first comprehensive branding and marketing overhaul since founders and co-directors, Philip and Debbie Shaw, launched the brand in 1999.  The aim is to reflect the changing face of the company and to further build and accelerate the growing recognition and reputation the brand has accomplished in recent years. The rebrand has come about partly due to the second generation - son Blayne and daughter Kirsty - joining the company and bringing with it a fresh new ethos. We know that producing quality and desirable products is just not enough any more; the rebrand is helping us to focus on our goal to be the first thought when it comes to accessories. The label has evolved to be much more glamorous with a more stylish edge whilst maintaining its core concept of coordination and simplicity, now targeting the mid-price accessory market.

What are you looking to achieve this season?
We look forward to launching our collections at Moda each season and welcoming our loyal trade customers on stand to view the collection in person. We also look forward to meeting new potential trade customers. It's great to see so many new faces year after year.  

What sort of presence do you have in the UK, and overseas?
We are now comfortably well-established in the UK market which is continually growing, and we have a strong and ever growing presence throughout Europe. The USA market is one which we are particularly invested in growing. In recent years it is a market that has really picked up for us and shown great potential, so I am pleased to announced that we have just opened an office and distribution centre in America which will allow us to further penetrate the market.

What’s new for s/s 16?
Expect brand new prints, shapes, styles and fabrics. We're very excited about our range of soft cotton in our resort wear collection – s/s16 has a real glamorous feel to it this year. We're also launching a brand new jewellery collection to perfectly complement the collection. You'll also see a lot more style in our summer shoe collection for SS16.
