Moda Gent exhibitor Olymp has been named as the number one shirt brand in its native Germany. The accolade comes from the country’s national trade title TextilWirtschaft, which assessed the country’s leading 31 shirt manufacturers on 22 categories including fit and price-performance ratio.
The results were decided by 159 menswear purchasing managers, representing the country’s key fashion shops and menswear departments. Olymp was the winner in 18 of the 22 categories, making it the clear overall winner and the country’s best-performer in the design and production of men’s shirts.
“The endeavour for quality and reliability is always worthwhile in the long term,” says Olymp’s CEO Mark Bezner. “The outstanding evaluation of the Olymp brand is fantastic confirmation of our sound and successful work. This positive result gives us great pleasure, positive motivation and is also a great incentive, for which we have our loyal customers, reliable partners and committed employees to thank.”
Last year saw Olymp achieve sales of 250.4 million euros throughout the financial year. The dynamic development of the business has continued in 2017, in spite of the continuing difficult market situation. The company now has more than 800 employees at its headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen, near Stuttgart, and in the sales subsidiaries in Germany and Austria.
