Shirt specialist Claudio Lugli takes directional new steps this season with the development of it women’s offer. The London label will unveil its range of women’s styles at Moda Woman this season, demonstrating its seamless interpretation of signature style for the womenswear market.
“The launch of our ladies’ division was a natural evolution, encouraged by the wives and girlfriends of our loyal customers,” says Navid Salimian, Claudio Lugli’s marketing director. “We realised that we had been isolating 50 per cent of the market, and it made sense to provide the same quality and unique garments that we are renowned for to the women’s market.”
Although menswear is still at the core of the Claudio Lugli operation – with over 400 accounts across the UK - the women’s arm is rapidly gathering pace of its ow. Since its launch in July last year, the women’s collection has been bought into by 60 stores nationwide, and the brand expects to add to this at Moda Woman this season.
“We look at ourselves as quite a young brand at the embryonic stage of its journey, but it’s fair to say that we have made a substantial impact on the market during the short time that we have been designing our range,” continues Salimian. “The unique appeal is that Claudio Lugli is so instantly recognisable, with its eye-popping prints and vibrant colours. Both men and women are resonating with print again, and we are creating a statement that continues to resonate with those who love our brand.”
