With just six weeks to go until the show, Moda has confirmed a host of new arrivals across each of its sectors this autumn / winter 2018. Cementing its position as the exhibition which connects buyers with new and inspiring collections, Moda complements its core offer of returning regulars with never-before-seen labels from all over the world.
For Moda Woman, new arrivals span the full spectrum of womenswear from on-trend denim to global leaders in the ethical world. Liverpool Jeans offers an exciting alternative to buyers seeking denim that fits and flatters whatever the silhouette, while German womenswear label Madness presents one of the sanest solutions for retailers seeking on-trend fashion with a conscience.
The Shirt Company is an intriguing new arrival, elevating the wardrobe basic of the classic shirt to a comprehensive fashion brand. Other new arrivals to look out for in Moda Woman include London label Luxmix (pictured), Meri Esca, the directional fashion label from France, Madame Sui which arrives from Barcelona and accessories newcomers Saccoo Amsterdam, Santacana Madrid and Sabbot Headwear.
Menswear is similarly well-represented this season, with up-and-coming area Moda Edit in particular welcoming a wide range of new names. Originally designed as an area for buyers seeking brands that haven’t previously encountered, Moda Edit welcomes London labels Apatchy and Jack Carter London, Yorkshire heritage label Bucktrout Tailoring, Finnish outdoor specialist Luhta and brand new outerwear label The Everman.
“Now in its third season, Moda Edit is making a name for itself as the destination for new and up-and-coming labels," says event director Silvia Collins. ""This season in particular, the breadth of product - from performance outdoor specialists to heritage tailoring - offers buyers the chance to try something new and inspiring for the autumn season to come."
Footwear buyers will also have the opportunity to connect with brands never-before-seen at the show following an influx of debutantes from all over the globe. Gant Footwear arrives this February, bringing with it an innovative range of footwear that supports an active lifestyle. Other newcomers this time include shoes designed for California Girls everywhere by the one and only Katy Perry, department store favourite Fiorelli Footwear & Accessories, global leader in sheepskin styles Emu Australia and a British alternative for sheepskin Celtic & Co. Boutique label Bibilou, uber-cool unisex brand Slydes and Bensimon – the French tennis shoe characterised by accessible luxury – are also ones to watch this season.
