New steps for Padders

Leading footwear label Padders has revealed its plans for this season’s Moda Footwear, including a streamlined approach to its distribution and a bigger focus on its successful Made in Britain range. 

The brand – which is firmly established on the Moda Footwear landscape - will now work directly with stockists across the UK & Ireland, having severed ties with some of its previous distribution partners. 

“This season, we are inviting buyers from across the UK & Ireland to come and take a fresh look at the collection at Moda Footwear,” says sales & marketing director Graeme Jenkins. “We believe that Moda is the best platform from which to showcase not only our extensive product range, but also the expertise and advice of our in-house team. We would like to connect directly with both existing and potential stockists at this key trade event, and we will be taking the opportunity to bring new retail partners on board across the three day show.”

Padders will exhibit a collection for spring / summer 2018 which focuses on maximising the shelf appeal of the brand’s signature comfort properties. Higher wedge outsoles elevate new season style to new heights, without any compromise to underfoot comfort or wellbeing. 

Padders will also increase its focus on its Made in Britain range, which has made a name for itself during a successful first few seasons. 

“In the 33 years since we started the Padders brand, we have learnt to understand what our customers want,” says Jenkins. “We’ve always worked on the premise of delivering style with the emphasis on comfort, and it was always our greatest desire to re-establish a manufacturing base in Northamptonshire. The resulting Padders British collection is our flagship range, representing all that is great about British design and manufacture.”
