Moda Gent is shaping the season to come with an ever-increasing line up of confirmed names for February. The event has already confirmed a host of returning regulars, including Geographical Norway, Jockey, Ashwood, Lambton Tailoring, Alan Paine, Scott by the Label, Gibson London, Gurteen, Johnstons of Elgin, Olymp, Fynch-Hatton (pictured), Wrangler, Wilvorst, Tresanti, Gabicci, Eterna, Douglas & Grahame and Carl Gross. New names however will also bolster the line-up, offering buyers new inspiration for the a/w 17 season.
Moda Edit in particular will showcase a selection of niche collections, never before seen at the event. The open-plan area – which is designed to offer a pared-back environment with a clear product focus – has confirmed it will host new arrival The Blue Shirt Company amongst a selection of other up-and-coming labels in the menswear industry.
New arrivals elsewhere in Moda Gent include Carlos Cordoba and Peter Montana, while last season’s debutante Ben Sherman will make a welcome return following a strong show in August.
"The August show was the first time Ben Sherman had attended for several years,” says Andrew Thomson, divisional director at Ben Sherman’s distributor BMB Clothing. “It was an ideal opportunity for us to showcase the new global direction for the brand; we judge our attendance at any show in terms of the business we write and on that basis alone, it was a very successful show for us. The decision to attend in February 2017 was therefore an easy one. Autumn is an important season for Ben Sherman and we expect Harrington styles and Parkas to be key seasonal pieces as usual alongside our core shirt collections."
