Moda’s seminar programme is a highlight of the show, helping visitors to get ahead in business with the help of experts in their field. Over the next two weeks, Moda will introduce each speaker as part of its Meet the Speakers series, allowing buyers to prepare for the exhibition above and beyond the business of buying. Here, Julie Holden reveals a little more about industry body bira.
Are you ready to be part of the UK’s biggest retail network? You’re entrepreneurial and proudly independent, but that doesn’t mean you have to do everything alone.
Bira – the British Independent Retail Association – takes to the stage this Moda to reveal the effective ways in which you can work with like-minded indies to improve your business. Hosted by Julie Holden – bira’s national membership manager – the seminar will welcome some truly inspirational retailers on stage for this 30 minute Q&A session.
Take some time out to meet Kevin Bellwood, owner of lifestyle store Roobarb in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Bellwood will reveal how he benefits from the collective strength of being a bira member to progress with his bricks-and-mortar store, online business, and also his ongoing charity work for Confident Children out of Conflict.
Bellwood will be joined by Samantha Yair and Emma Woodward, owners of lifestyle retailer Aspire Style, which has grown from a single store in in Warwick to a five-strong mini-chain of fashion retail.
With 6500 members already feeling the benefit of being part of retail’s biggest network, isn’t it time you came on board? See you at 11.45 on Sunday 6 August.
