Meet the speakers

Above and beyond launching the season, Moda is an essential destination for industry know-how. This season sees the show introduce an inspiring line-up of speakers, each a leader in their field and representing names in the industry including Microsoft and BIRA. Ahead of the show, take a look ahead to who will be taking centre stage. 

Sarah Arnesen, BIRA
Sarah is the Head of Marketing, PR and events at the British Independent Retailers Association (BIRA). She joined the business in 2013 and is responsible for overseeing all the marketing and events activity across the group. She is responsible for strategic consultation, project management, and marketing plan development across all areas of the association and its subsidiaries. She has a Masters Degree (MSc) in Marketing from Birmingham University and has previously worked in a variety of marketing management roles including Marketing Manager at the NEC, Birmingham and Head of Marketing for sport for development charity Sported.

Laura Brown and Peter Andrews, Introtweet
Laura Brown and Peter Andrews founded Introtweet in July 2013 with a view to introducing businesses to the wonderful world of social media. The core of Introtweet is social media management, but the company also delivers bespoke training either one-to-one or via large scale in-house workshops. Recent businesses who took advantage of Introtweet’s specialisms and skills were South West Water and Heidelberg, the UK’s market leading provider of solutions for the printing industry. 

Most recently Introtweet have launched their online ‘Social Media Health Check’ service to a fantastic response. The aim of this service is to review businesses Social Media accounts whilst sharing video content & top tips to help them develop & improve their knowledge.

Karen Campbell, PRs for Music
With over 15 years’ experience in the branded fashion and communications industries, Karen Campbell is an award-winning marketeer with a specialism for bringing brands to life. Karen is also an accredited life coach who works with corporate clients to assist them in making significant changes both personally and professionally.

Fiona Coleman, freelance trend consultant
A strategic and innovative thinker, Fiona Coleman draws upon 25 years of industry experience to deliver creative yet commercial business solutions for clients. Having spent 10 years working with WGSN, she now works independently and directly with brands and retailers on bespoke projects to give them the right colours and trends for their customers at the right time. 

As a member of the British Textile Colour Group, Fiona also exchanges ideas with other influential colour specialists, creating seasonal palettes which have a considerable impact on the marketplace.

Dan Conboy, Statement Agency
Dan started his journey in 2008 as part of an internal team in a growing eCommerce business. The team realised it needed to work with a digital partner to cope with the rapid growth but, despite an extensive search, struggled to find an agency with the right expertise and skills to help; an agency who understood what was needed to keep pace in an ever changing digital world. So he created Statement as a solution to their problem; a commercially focused digital team. Today, he and his team work with clients of all sizes across the world.

Holly Peacock-Goodwin, OPR
Formerly community editor for Grazia Magazine, Holly has also spent six years specialising in digital media at the likes of advertising agencies, media agencies or within publishing. She is responsible for digital strategy development for clients and manages several digital and social media accounts for OPR.

Rachel Peterman, Carousel & Co

Jon Tromans
After spending 10 years working in traditional media, Jon moved to the new media world in the late 90s and helped many companies successfully create their first web presence. In the fast-moving world of digital marketing, Jon writes all his own training materials and has a weekly podcast offering SEO and social media tips. Caner Veli, Liquiproof
Founder of award-winning product Liquiproof, Caner Veli has spent the last 2 years growing a successful business with the aim of filling a gap in the market for a reliable, long lasting and eco-friendly footwear and fabric protective spray. This year has seen Caner pitch Liquiproof on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and after an intense questioning, the product received the full investment from fashion mogul Touker Suleyman.
