Moda Footwear favourite Padders has long been regarded as a British institution by its loyal army of retailers. The brand has recently come full circle however with the launch of a dedicated collection produced in the UK at its headquarters in Kettering.
Having been established in Northamptonshire for over 100 years, parent company T Groocock & Co felt that the time was right to return an element of its manufacture to the British footwear industry. The footwear specialist revealed that it had been its “greatest desire” to establish a manufacturing base in Northamptonshire, and to create a collection which carried the name of the great British brand.
“In the 33 years since we started the Padders brand, we have learnt to understand what our customers want,” says Graeme Jenkins, sales & marketing director at Padders. “We’ve always worked on the premise of delivering style with the emphasis on comfort. The Padders British collection is our flagship range, representing all that is great about British design and manufacture.”
