Moda Loves has confirmed further signings just days ahead of its second edition. The new area – located within Moda Woman – made its debut last season as a directional destination for in-season and on-trend womenswear collections.
Returning this season with a bolstered presence and a strengthened line-up, Moda Loves will offer womenswear buyers the opportunity to top up on key trends for immediate delivery alongside their core forward-order buying.
Latest signings include Goldkid London and Love My Soul (pictured). Established on the London scene as a directional fashion brand with a playful approach to pattern, Goldkid London will present a vibrant collection of fashion-forward designs. For Love My Soul meanwhile, the focus is on glamorous handbags and accessories that provide a focal point for key season fashion. Designed around a grunge-meets-glam ethos, the leather collection features clutch and purse silhouettes as well as a range of day bags.
The latest arrivals follow hot on the heels of One Boutique, which confirmed its attendance last week. Established in 2014 with the aim of bringing ethical fashion into the mainstream, the brand is trend-focused with the added benefit of ethical UK manufacture.
“Our ethos is to create uncluttered, unique fashion that gives to and connects every person involved - from the dedicated machinists that earn above the UK living wage, to the individual wearing our pieces and has the comfort of knowing where their unique, high quality clothing is made,” says founder Siobhan McKenzie. “Each and every piece of our clothing is made in Britain by our passionate studio team. Fabric selection is key in the One Boutique process, and what you see is what you get - we don't airbrush our models or pin any products in our photos.
"Moda has been on my radar for a while, and Moda Loves is the perfect setting from which independent and concept stores can access trends as they emerge."
Characterised by a clean aesthetic, One Boutique incorporates creative cuts and technical fabrics, with multiple length and sizing combinations available for the perfect fit.”
One Boutique, Goldkid London and Love My Soul will be joined by a raft of other debuting labels including Lindy Bop and Retro by Jordash. Those returning following a successful show in February meanwhile include City Goddess and Hell Bunny - which relocates from Moda White - both of which cited a positive experience during the first edition of Moda Loves earlier this year.
“It was really clear at the last show that Moda Loves was an excellent hub from which to meet new boutiques,” says Yathu Kanagaratnam, business development manager for City Goddess. “We achieved a lot more than we expected in terms of business, and our customers were keen for us to exhibit again.”
City Goddess will unveil an autumn collection inspired by real London trends happening right now. Classic tailoring, simple bodycon cuts, wrap around dresses and soft tulip skirts are key in a palette of muted and rich tones designed to take the wearer from day to night.
The inspiring line-up of labels targets womenswear buyers who are seeking a fresh injection of style this autumn, with the added flexibility of short delivery times and low minimum orders. The in-season model of buying has been welcomed by retailers across the country, who have praised the flexibility of topping up mid-season to complement their core buying.
