Moda Footwear has revealed one of its strongest line-ups to date for children’s shoes this season. Confirming its position as the destination for children’s footwear, Mini Moda has welcomed a range of new additions including Pablosky and Ren But, arriving from Spain and Poland respectively. Both already established on a global scale as leaders in their field, the new additions will focus on the UK market with their debut at Mini Moda.
“Ren But is one of the leading world-famous Polish manufacturers of children footwear, producing textile shoes, leather shoes, rain boots and snow boots,” says director Katarzyna Fijałkiewicz. “Our shoes are marked with a Healthy Foot certificate and with OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 - guaranteeing that they are free from harmful substances – and all offer anti-bacterial properties, breathable soles and shock-absorbing insoles.”
Beyond Mini Moda, this season will also see the wider Footwear exhibition showcase dedicated children’s collections. XTi Kids (pictured), Skechers, Unisa, Ipanema and Birkenstock are just some of the brands offering children’s styles alongside their core adult ranges. For new arrival Unisa in particular, the opportunity to showcase its children’s styles alongside its core adult collection was a deciding factor in participating in Moda Footwear.
“Unisa produces both ladies’ and girls’ footwear with a dedicated Mum & Me collection, and Moda is the only place in the UK where we can showcase the two together,” says the brand’s UK agent Sam Hunt. “That was a huge decision in our showing at Moda, along with the show’s increasingly impressive line-up; simply put, if you are a boutique which is interested in stocking footwear, you need to visit Moda.”
Taking place on a slightly earlier dateline this year, Moda Footwear will once again appeal to children’s footwear buyers looking to focus on new-season buying ahead of the height of the back-to-school season from mid-August onwards.
