Moda’s August show has welcomed an unprecedented number of early signings following a strong autumn event last month. Brands across womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories have committed to the s/s 18 edition of the show, which will take place on 6-8 August this year.
In particular, brands which showed for the first time in February have committed to return following a strong performance last month. Having relaunched womenswear label Steilmann last year, new agent Fashion Hse took the opportunity to herald a new era of development with the brand’s debut at Moda Woman.
“Moda Woman offered the perfect platform to reconnect with all of Steilmann’s former customers at one destination,” says sales director Marc O’Rourke. “We had a good show, and we will return in August to build upon this momentum with a more concise and directed collection featuring what the Steilmann customer is looking for.”
Liekwise regular exhibitors enjoyed strong sales at the show, prompting them to look ahead to August with renewed optimism.
“We had an excellent show in February which exceeded all of our targets,” says Myles Cunningham, director at Irish fashion label D.E.C.K. “We will be returning in August, hoping to repeat a similar level of sales across the three days.”
For footwear label Chatham meanwhile, last month’s show represented an element of international expansion – something which the brand is keen to expand upon at the August event.
“For one of the first times at Moda, we opened several new accounts from across Europe,” says managing director Philip Marsh. “We will be building upon that with our return in August, having expanded our Made in Britain collection. As the number one British deck show brand, the spring / summer show is what we are known for, and it’s essential that we showcase this range at Moda Footwear.”
Other labels already confirmed for August 2017 include Alpe, Josef Seibel, Michaela Louisa, Ipanema, Lily & Me, Peruzzi and Scholl. Keep up to date with the full brand listing by following Moda on Facebook and Twitter.
