Comfort hots up


Moda Footwear will welcome the UK’s biggest shoemaker for the first time ever this season. Already firmly on the radar of many of Moda’s footwear buyers, Hotter will make its debut at the event with a view to securing new retail partners as part of a wider growth strategy. 

“Wholesale has always been very important to us,” says the brand’s head of wholesale Adam Marsden. “We are single-minded in our determination to drive this area forward, targeting a four-fold expansion by forging new relationships as well as showcasing our latest collection to our existing retail partners.

“Our quality of product and service are our core brand values, and we are committed to developing our UK manufacturing base to deliver this.”

Already renowned as a brand which offers superior comfort, Hotter is inviting retailers to take a fresh look at the collection, which harbours a wide appeal across the demographics. 

“Comfort remains the core of our product identity, but our designs also have an ageless appeal and we cover key seasonal trends,” continues Marsden. “The focus this time around is footwear options for every occasion, and retailers may be interested to discover the new styles that we have on board.”

The a/w 17 range for women comprises supersoft winter boots, casual everyday styles, smart heels and lightweight, versatile styles incorporating a nod to the active trend. Some styles also feature unique GoreTex technology for heightened performance whatever the weather. For men meanwhile, there are classic styles that are both durable and lightweight along with styles suitable from for smart and casual wear. 

Beyond the aesthetics, each pair of Hotter shoes is designed in line with the brand’s commitment to creating the ultimate comfort experience. Features include ultra-soft padding, hug-heels and space for feet toes to move freely. 

This latest offer will also include the Hotter Originals line, comprising styles handpicked by Hotter’s founder Stewart Houlgrave as the true embodiment of the brand’s comfort promise. Key styles include the Mystery boot - which is crafted in the brand’s own UK factory with a unique lightweight Comfort Concept sole filled with millions of air bubbles – and bestselling Original Shake which is also made in the UK, and features pillowsoft underfoot cushioning and flexible soles.
