Following a spectacular debut last season, activewear specialist Acai has revealed its plans to return to Moda Active this February. The newly-launched label piqued the interest of a wide range of stockists in August – including department stores Voisins and House of Fraser – and will be arriving in stores soon after Christmas.
“Acai Activewear incorporates a variety of elements to create the best apparel for women,” says co-founder Kasia Bromley. “This includes a focus on cut and fit, to make you look and feel great, and attention to the technical and functional details of the apparel, so that you are consistently comfortable while being active.
“Through extensive and creative prototypes the designer perfected the fit, so that the clothes complement the female form, without losing any of the practicality of the garments.”
Having introduced the concept to the trade at Moda’s dedicated Active platform, the brand will diversify this season with a collection which plays tribute to its own namesake. Taking inspiration from the Acai berry itself and its wide range of healing properties, Acai presents a collection designed to energise women and encourage an all-round healthy lifestyle.
New for a/w 17, branded gift boxes containing a smoothie bottle an acai recipe book will be available for retailers to stock in store for the Christmas gift period.
Style-wise, the key focus for autumn is the introduction of the Little Black collection. Designed around an appropriately seamless blend of timeless and directional design, the range comprises plain black pieces designed to be interspersed with exciting new prints.
