The Maryan Beachwear Group celebrated its 70 year anniversary yesterday with a touching tribute the firm’s management. The German company – which is still family-owned after seven decades – brought together 100 of its employees to surprise Maryan’s owners with a helium balloon presentation and anecdotes of the company’s extensive history.
“These spontaneous and warm congratulations are a great incentive and motivation to look forward to the next 70 years,” says managing partner Maryan Mehlhorn.
The emotional celebrations were testament to the firm’s commitment to maintaining a positive, family-run culture within the workplace, despite its development into one of the swimwear sector’s global players. Still based at its idyllic headquarters in Murg – adjacent to the Swiss border – the Maryan Group now has four distinct swimwear labels within its portfolio; Maryan Mehlhorn, Lidea, Charmline and Watercult.
As a regular exhibitor at Moda Lingerie & Swimwear, Maryan has established a loyal customer base across the UK, and will reveal more functional yet fashionable designs for the new a/w 17 and beyond.
